Il Giornale is a national newspaper founded in Milan in 1974 by Indro Montanelli - one of the most famous and prestigious italian journalist, writer and historian -  who directed it until 1994. Since 1979, it's owned by the Berlusconi family. It is the seventh most popular newspaper in the country.
