Founded in 1956, IL GIORNO was created as a newspaper for Milan and Lombardia, but it soon became an important national reference point. It has always been characterized by its innovative formula in terms of graphic, page layouts, the use of color (the first to do so, and for many years, the only, among Italian newspapers) and, on a journalistic level,  a minimalistic style.  Particular attention is given to local news, but with the clear intent to create a new model for a local newspaper, with a national bent.

Gruppo Poligrafici is an Atex customer since 20 years. The newspapers of the Group, with a total of 40 local editions and 700 users, use H Series 10 AX editorial system as well as DAM (Digital Asset Management) system. All branches of the advertising sales agency SPE (owned by the Group) use Supervisor TQ, which is integrated with the publishing system H Series. Supervisor TQ improves the management of the workflow process from the ad sales department to the printing sites, allowing the people involved in the production to interact in real time.
