The Company operates in four segments: publishing, distribution and advertisements, which include publishing and distribution of newspapers, magazines and books and also indoor and outdoor advertising; printing of magazines and books; information technology and multimedia, and investment holding, management services and others.

Utusan Melayu selected Atex Advertising for its Classified ad and display ad for all its newspapers.

The advertising system went live on 1 December 2002, producing all the advertising material for the Utusan Melayu publications.

In Dec 2010, Utusan signed a contract to upgrade the advertising system with Atex.
