Atex Announces Restructuring to Strengthen Core Business
19 September 2012 - Atex, the global provider of software and services to media-rich industries, has announced a restructuring of its international operations as part of plans to strengthen its core business and focus on new market opportunities for its digital media solutions.
The restructuring will involve a proposal for 180 redundancies across its global business in the coming months. Employees have been told of the decision and a formal consultation process will soon get underway.
The move follows an operational review and refinancing of the business, which began after the arrival of a new leadership team in July 2012, led by CEO Gary Stokes.
Atex has a leading reputation in providing smart software solutions to the media industry to improve the profitability of their operations and optimise their digital strategies.
Commenting on the decision, CEO Gary Stokes said: “When the new leadership joined Atex, we knew that this company has a major opportunity to help our media-rich industries maximise the full potential of their digital strategies. To achieve this, we need to reshape our company, operate in those markets and locations that provide us with the best returns and offer the greatest opportunity, and create new ways of working. It is regrettable that some of our colleagues will have to leave us but these steps are essential to allow us to become more agile and innovative to both meet and exceed our clients changing needs.”
