21 September 2011 - Reading UK - Atex is celebrating a hugely successful TalkingPoint Global Symposium, which brought together the world’s most innovative thought leaders, technical experts and digital minds for the first time.
The event, which was held at Altitude 360°in Millbank, London, on 14th and 15th September, was designed for business leaders and super users alike, who are striving to shape the future of media. Nearly 200 delegates from 29 countries enjoyed a two-day intensive technical and educational programme, and walked away with exciting new concepts for future business innovation.
The action-packed conferences ranged from a focus on advertising, production streamlining and the single news room vision, to a look at the future dynamics of the industry, in which future trend analyst Graeme Codrington outlined some of the key characteristics of the digital world.
Other highlights included a lively debate around the innovation of the digital landscape, hosted by leading industry analysts Gilbane and Forrester and a series of detailed product workshop sessions, focusing on advertising, single news room and Web SMS – plenty to satisfy every digital appetite!
The event maximised networking opportunities and offered a chance for delegates to consult with Atex’s technical experts in its ‘Clinic Corner’. The company also welcomed motivational speaker Ed Stafford, whose tale of walking the entire length of the Amazon and into the Guinness Book of World Records, was extremely moving and inspirational.
Jim Rose, Group CEO of Atex, said: "We have been blown away by the reaction to our first Symposium. We’re thrilled that we’ve been able to bring together some of the world’s greatest analysts and innovators, to give inspiring presentations, provide insights and exhilaration and ultimately create a platform for ideas to be shared. Delegates have told us that they have come away feeling inspired, and having made important business connections, which is what we set out to achieve.
“We have set the bar very high, but hope to build on this success for another exciting TalkingPoint next year.”
