Atex Partners with APA-IT to expand its reach in Austria

• APA-IT to become a reseller of the Polopoly Web content management solution
• The Polopoly Certification program will enable APA-IT to support the rapid expansion of the Polopoly Web CMS in German speaking countries

4 October 2010 - Reading, UK— APA-IT, a subsidiary of the Austrian Press Agency, has reached an agreement with Atex to offer its customers the Polopoly Web content management solution. The new offering is especially targeted to providing APA-IT customers with a comprehensive multimedia offering.

APA-IT chose the Atex system for its ability to meet the increasing demands of the digital publishing industry. In particular, Polopoly ‘s support of multiple editorial workflows will allow APA-IT customers to streamline the digital publishing process and perform more real-time updates of breaking news stories.

Also important to APA-IT, was Polopoly’s list of large media customers in the German-speaking world. Customers like Süddeutsche Zeitung and ProSiebenSat.1, demonstrate that the Polopoly Web content management solution is well-suited for fast-paced multi-site environments where news portals need to be created on the fly while supporting high traffic volumes. At Süddeutsche Zeitung, the Polopoly Web CMS also showcases how it can integrate with a print editorial system to converge content publishing workflows. This allows editors to create a piece of content once and then publish it to all print, digital, mobile or tablet devices.
