O Estado de S. Paulo goes live with Atex Digital Media23 July, 2015
Atex announces that O Estado de S. Paulo, one of the traditional and most important newspaper in Brazil, went live this July with the content management solution Atex Digital Media.
O Estado de S. Paulo (The State of São Paulo) is a daily newspaper published in the metropolitan region of São Paulo, Brazil, and distributed nationally. It is owned by Grupo Estado, a holding company which owns radio Rádio Eldorado FM and Agência Estado, the largest news agency in Brazil.
It has the second largest circulation in the city of São Paulo, and is the fourth largest overall in Brazil.
O Estado has a large newsroom of more than 400 journalists and selected Atex Digital Media to implement an efficient content management workflow, where stories are produced in a central, single, content repository and delivered to the required output channels according to the company strategies, rather than being produced for a channel and repurposed to the others.
O Estado implemented the dm.core and dm.print modules that offer mobile tools for content creation and management of print editions.
Fábio Brito, Editorial System Coordinator at O Estado commented on this go live: “Changing the supporting technology and the processes of a large newsroom is always a major challenge for a newspaper, because it transforms the very hearth of the company. Atex supported us with a local and an international team that brought a lot of experience gained in similar projects worldwide”.
Alexandre Calazans, General Manager for Atex Brazil, added: “O Estado has an history of innovation and a reputation for being one of the most authoritative news sources in Brazil, I am honoured that they chose Atex as a partner for a project that will help them continue their leadership”
