Project organisation

Atex uses agile methodologies to focus on customer business values. In most instances the agile methodology is Scrum, which prioritises  customer’s most important requirements in a list called 'backlog'. From there, the products development continues as follows:

- The product owner makes the priorities in the project and owns the backlog. This is a resource from the customer or third party.

- The Scrum Master is an Atex systems architect who is responsible for giving the delivery to the product owner. Rather than plan, instruct and direct, the Scrum Master facilitates, coaches and leads.

- A team of application specialists who works in short iterations (i.e. sprints) delivers production ready solutions with demos every week for a strong feedback loop.

The Scrum methodology delivers an efficient and continuous management scope by working to specify, breakdown and prioritize requirements while always remaining focused on the customer’s business value. Atex project managers use experience from similar projects to support the customer with product owner related activities. Another task for the project manager is to establish quality communication with all those involved in the project (teams, stakeholders), and also manage the Atex development teams locally with reporting and planning.

The system architect will secure a stable and solid system design, relevant requirements analysis and breakdown. He or she will also ensure the use of best practices and applicable coding conventions for realization. The system architect is charged with transferring knowledge to the customer or partner’s project members. This enhances and streamlines the project’s development.

Though rapid deployment is critical, preserving control and quality of work during the projects implementation is equally important to success. Achieving this requires skilled and experienced application specialists. Atex employs some of the leading application specialists in the industry. These individuals are experts in the field who have years of development experience and familiarity from working on numerous Atex projects

In addition to taking advantage of an experienced development team, it is also beneficial to learn more about the new platform via any of the available Atex training courses that can be found on the website
