Archdiocese of Milan chooses Atex Polopoly Web Content Management System

17 November 2010 - Reading, UK— Atex announces that the Archdiocese of Milan selected the Atex Polopoly Web content management solution to manage all online content, demonstrating the diocese’s strong focus on delivering information and services through different Web channels.

In an environment that requires maximum flexibility and scalable data management, the Polopoly system’s advanced architecture will help the archdiocese to efficiently manage several sites simultaneously. The system will also reduce maintenance costs by helping build new archdiocese websites that support a complex content structure and a massive number of visits.

Impresa Tecnoeditoriale Lombarda (ITL), a subsidiary of the archdiocese, will work closely with Atex experts to implement the new Polopoly platform. ITL, which also manages the diocesan website, serves the Ambrosian Church and its archbishop, producing and distributing a wide portfolio of communication tools on their behalf.

The Archdiocese of Milan, with its history, reach and church structure, is one of the most important in the world and has the largest Catholic congregation in Europe.

“We are very proud to add the Archdiocese of Milan to our prestigious list of customers,” said Roberto Antoniotti, CEO Atex South Europe and Latin America. “This agreement represents another large step outside the publishing industry, and demonstrates how Polopoly can satisfy the online publishing needs of any media-rich company.”
