At the end of September, team Atex joined AInnovación 2025 in Madrid, the annual festival organized by CMS MAG that has become one of the most relevant events in Europe for exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping content creation and newsroom technology.
The festival was a vibrant space for networking, discovery, and dialogue around the tools that are already empowering editorial teams worldwide. For Atex, it was an opportunity to present MyType, our all-in-one platform with integrated AI, and to position ourselves within the ecosystem of innovative CMS solutions for modern newsrooms.
Introducing the Concept of “Fluid Media”
During our presentation, we shared how today’s media are becoming increasingly fluid—both in terms of consumption and production in the newsrooms. Content no longer exists in fixed formats; it adapts to different channels, platforms, and user contexts. In parallel, newsrooms themselves are adopting more flexible, collaborative workflows.
This is precisely the vision behind MyType. While it can be described as a CMS, it is in fact much more: a platform that supports journalists across the entire value chain, from news discovery to multichannel distribution and monetization. At its core, MyType has been designed to make editorial work more efficient, more intuitive, and more aligned with the realities of a rapidly evolving media landscape.
Trends from AInnovación 2025
Participating in AInnovación was also an important moment of learning. We were able to observe how other players are integrating AI into their products and to confirm that MyType is fully aligned with the most promising innovations in the market.
Three main trends stood out during the discussions:
- AI-driven news gathering: Many solutions are now focusing on processing large volumes of data from multiple sources—including social platforms—to identify potential stories. At Atex, we believe the true challenge is not just collecting information but helping journalists find what is genuinely relevant for their newsroom, using advanced recommendation algorithms.
- Beyond passive CMS: It is increasingly clear that CMS cannot remain passive tools for publishing operations. The difference lies not in having a platform, but in how AI is applied to enhance editorial workflows. This is an area where MyType stands out: we have invested months in refining usability and user experience, making sure the platform is not only powerful but also easy to use for journalists.
- Content production with integrated tools: Another strong trend is the shift toward having as many external tools as possible embedded directly within the CMS. Among these, transcription is proving to be a real game changer for modern newsrooms, which are required to be increasingly agile while remaining accurate. This is also available in MyType—now even smarter thanks to a simplified new dashboard that makes the process faster and more seamless.
Looking Ahead
The day in Madrid confirmed that the future of newsroom technology will be shaped by platforms that are both intelligent and user-centered. For Atex, it was rewarding to see MyType recognized as part of this new generation of solutions, designed to empower editorial teams with tools that are innovative, ethical, and practical.
Events like AInnovación 2025 remind us that innovation in journalism is a collective effort. By bringing together technology providers, media companies, and AI experts, we are building the foundations of a more adaptive, efficient, and impactful news ecosystem.
