December 22nd, 2025 – North East Media has gone live on the MyType platform, completing the migration of 30 news sites and marking a major step in the company’s digital evolution. The project brings North East Media’s digital publishing, subscriber management, and upcoming print automation under a single Atex ecosystem, creating a stronger and more efficient foundation for the group’s future.
North East Media selected Atex and MyType to stabilise and modernise its operations across digital, print, and subscriptions. The scope included the migration of all sites to MyType, activation of MyType Vault for paywall control and subscriber data, and preparation for Atex print automation across the company’s newspapers.
The teams moved fast. North East Media signed on August 7, 2025, and all thirty sites launched well ahead of the end of support for their previous CMS. The rapid turnaround was the result of focused, coordinated work from both project teams.

With the digital rollout complete, Atex and North East Media will now move into the next phase. This includes installing Atex auto pagination across all print publications and expanding the use of MyType Vault as the central source of subscriber information.
