PRISA is the world’s leading business group for the creation and distribution of education, news and entertainment content in the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking markets. Present in 24 countries, PRISA reaches millions of people through its global brands: Santillana, EL PAÍS, LOS40, W Radio and AS.

PRISA Noticias, the business unit that encompasses all PRISA’s news brands, has been using Atex solutions since 1996. Now the team confirms the choice for the next two years, leveraging Atex Hermes for the print production of EL PAÍS, Cinco Días, AS, El HuffPost, ICON, and several more titles.

Hermes is the Atex proprietary print publishing solution. It supports newspaper and magazine publication through a fully customisable workflow. Hermes integrations allow publishers to manage the entire content journey, from ingesting wire agency feeds to final page output. Hermes provides the best tool to increase print productivity across large newsrooms and media organisations, supporting both InDesign templates and custom-made layouts.

Hermes is fully integrated with Desk, the Atex multichannel content management system, providing newsrooms with a unified approach to managing high-quality print publications across complex media organisations. Hermes also helps significantly reduce the design effort in a typical publication thanks to the alternative layouts feature.

“We believe in open and integrated solutions: for this reason, we are working with PRISA to build a unified workflow across print and digital, connecting different technologies in a cross-channel environment”, declared Gian Camillo Vezzoli, Head of Content Business Unit at Atex.

“We are delighted that Atex solutions will continue to support our most strategic assets in the future”, commented Diana Gonzalez Ortega, Director of IT Governance, Digital Transformation and Operational Assurance at PRISA.
